I was wondering how microdermabrasion is performed so I went online to look around. I ended up finding the website of a Chicago plastic surgeon. It had my answer and says, "Tiny medical grade aluminum oxide crystals polish and exfoliate the skin, while a vacuum setting removes the dead skin cells."
